Grá & Cúram stuffs little boxes with gorgeous products from local small businesses, all from within Cork City and County.
With boxes available from €25, you can surprise someone special with lovely local treats such as bath bombs from Dora’s Box in Schull, Blumáin organic skincare from Ballydesmond, Ocean Bloom moisturiser made on Bere Island, Gubby’s soaps, made in Crookstown or Exploding Tree Chocolate from Clonakilty.
Having relocated to her native Cork from Edinburgh with her husband and two little girls in 2020, owner Bróna Murphy noticed a gap in the market when she wanted to send a friend a ‘get well soon’ package.
“I wanted to send her items from Cork so it felt meaningful and more special but couldn’t find what I was looking for,” Bróna told Yay Cork.
“Having not lived at home for many years, I was astounded by the amazing food and products available in the county. I was constantly noticing all these amazing fab companies doing great things and creating gorgeous products but there wasn’t anywhere that brought some of these fab things together… that’s when Grá & Cúram was born.”
“There are lots of expensive boxes out there but we wanted ours to be affordable as little ‘thinking of you’ moments to lift someone’s spirits, make them feel they’re not alone, to celebrate their success, wish them luck, a happy birthday.”
“Most of our boxes are €25 and include free postage.”
