This new Cork boardgame shop has a Sensory Cave for neurodivergent players

It’s a space for collecting, competing and community.
A new hobby and gaming store is now open at 14B French Church Street, right in the heart of Cork City.

Created with the aim of bringing people together through games, The Collector’s Cave hopes to become a welcoming hub where players can discover new hobbies, meet like-minded people and enjoy gaming in a relaxed environment.
The store will cater to fans of trading card games, board games and role-playing games, with competitive play available for those who want it, but community is at the centre of the new venture.

“While we support competitive play for trading card games, board games, and, in the coming weeks, role-playing games, our main focus is on building a friendly and inclusive community space for players of all ages and experience levels,” owner Andrea Rui told Yay Cork.
“To support this vision, we offer a dedicated sensory area designed to help neurodivergent players feel comfortable while gaming, an ever-growing game library that visitors can enjoy on-site, and a programme of casual social events.”

Whether you’re a lifelong collector, a competitive card player or someone who has always wanted to try a new game but didn’t know where to start, the new shop is inviting Cork people to drop in and discover what it’s all about.
