There’s a Cadbury Christmas Parade in Kinsale this weekend: Here’s what you need to know

The weather outside may be frightful, but the Cadbury crew will be making everything delightful in Kinsale this Sunday.
The chocolate makers are bringing their Christmas Parade to the seaside town as part of this year’s Cadvent celebrations.
The parades, which travel around the country, tell the story of a young child’s dream that takes him on a magical journey to meet the Master of Joy. The story will be brought to life by an array of wacky floats, novel characters and creative entertainment, telling the story of the magic of Christmas through a child’s eyes.
The Kinsale Christmas Parade kicks off at 5pm on Sunday, December 10th in the Main Carpark in town.
Here’s the parade route:
- The parade will leave the Main Carpark and take a right onto the R605 past the Blue Haven
- Then it will turn left on to Market St, keeping left on Market Square
- Making another left down Guardwell, it will travel on to Main St then left on to Pier Road R600 and back into the Carpark.
Cadbury wants everyone to do their bit to spread the festive spirit this year so every person that tweets using #Cadvent during the month of December will help to push the dial on the giant Cadbury Joy-o-Meter, revealing a new prize to be given away each day in the countdown to Christmas.
We can’t think of a better way to spread happiness than through the medium of chocolate.
