There’s an adorable Puppet Picnic happening in Fitzgerald’s Park

Beware: cute overload incoming.
Fitzgerald’s Park is about to be turned into a puppet wonderland for kids on bank holiday Monday, August 5th.
The crowning event of the annual Cork Puppetry Festival will take over Cork’s prettiest public park from 11am until 3pm on the day, with a host of fun, free events for children.
This year the party will have a lunar theme.
Little guests can help Jimmy and Serena save the day in ‘The Story of the Rubbish Monster’, then create their very own moon creatures at the puppet making workshops,.
The Rebel Brass Band will be on hand with entertainment, then everyone will take their puppets and join the Puppet Parade. More details here.
Bring a picnic and set up on the grass for a brilliant day of imaginative fun.
Extra puppet making workshops will also run at St Peter’s on North Main Street (€5 per child) on Friday, August 2nd (12pm to 3pm), Saturday, August 3rd (2pm to 4pm) and Sunday, August 4th (10am-3pm).
