There’s a pop-up restaurant setting up on this breathtaking West Cork Island

Dinner with a view.
It’s not every day you get to explore the beauty of one of Cork’s islands followed by a mouthwatering meal on the seafront.
The folks at Wild Atlantic Glamping, Bere Island will be joined by the talented masters of cuisine from The Chef’s Table restaurant on August 19th to bring lucky guests an evening of serene Bantry Bay views and a memorable supper.
Diners will choose between a full roster of options including pan-seared rump steak, seared scallops, and mozzarella balls for starters and button-busting mains like the 10oz striploin steak, local crayfish, and vegetable potjiekos- a South African stew served with basmati rice.
A full-flavoured mango and passionfruit cheesecake will finish an epic meal, all while taking in views of Slieve Miskish Mountain on the mainland and idyllic scenes of the bay.

If you’d like to make a day of it, check out the many activities at Wild Atlantic Glamping, which include snorkelling, kayaking, swimming and hiking, to work up an appetite for the main event.
The pop-up restaurant is open to the general public, so no need to camp for the night. However the last ferry back to Castletownbere is at 8 pm, so it’s best to aim for the earlier slots to make sure you make the boat.
The Chef’s Table will be on Bere Island with Wild Atlantic Glamping on Friday, August 19th from 5pm-8pm. The three-course meal costs €60 per person. To reserve your spot email thechefstablewestcork@gmail.com or call them on 027 71364. Booking is essential.
