There’s a place in town serving melted cheese and dippy chips

It’s been calling us.
Ever since we set eyes on the new Sober Lane menu we can think of little else apart from ditching all our responsibilities and making a run for Sullivan’s Quay.
After a month of crunching through dry Ryvitas as if they were going out of fashion, now that January is finally over we are ready to venture out again… and Sober Lane’s naughty new menu is worth planning a cheat day for.
New to the Bites menu, now you can order a personal pot of melted brie with smoked garlic, rosemary and sticky honey. What could make this heavenly dish more appealing you ask? Well, it’s served with hand-cut chip soldiers for dipping.

If a bowl of melted cheese doesn’t float your boat (seriously?) there are more new delicacies to be tried on the menu too.
The Po Boy involves a grilled roll stuffed with salt cod fritters, tomato sambal, house tartar sauce, and carrot- mouli escabeche (herby pickled carrots) served with hand-cut fries.
There’s also a sticky chilli roast pork belly with haberno jam and kimchi in a crusty roll and a whopping ‘Bun Meat Bun’ burger with whiskey braised short rib, espresso onions, dill pickle, melted Dubliner cheese, Sober Mayo, beef tomato and lettuce.
If you’re in the market for a veggie option, try the new vegetarian burger; firecracker curried potato vada in a brioche bun served with green chutney aioli, tomato sambal and pickled veggies.
For dessert? Pina Colada cheesecake of course.
Sure you can always book an extra PT session at the gym on Monday.
