There’s a new locally made hot sauce in town and it’s spicy AF

They’re giving out tasters at the Marina Market.
And if you’re lucky, Cork’s own Castaldo brothers have already offered you a crispy tortilla chip dipped in a taste of their outrageously tasty new homemade sauces.
Felix and Alex Castaldo from Grange in Douglas, one a director, the other a chef, are down in the market every weekend having combined creative forces to create Cork’s newest food export; Tongue Tied hot sauces; €7 a pop (or €18 for all three) and flying off the shelf.
“Our head chef Alex travelled far across the globe to find the perfect recipes for these knockout sauces,” the duo announced on Instagram.
The first is the green bottled Jalapeño & Apple (Consigliere) aka “The Advisor”, made with spicy jalapeños, coriander and apples.
Their second sauce is the Red Chilli & Orange (Capo) aka “The Boss”, a red hot concoction with an orange twist. You can also try the Habanero (Capo dei Capi) aka “The Boss of Bosses”, made with habaneros, white vinegar, peppers, garlic, water, salt.
But which one is the spiciest, you ask?
“All of our flavours are incredible. But the yellow one is a true powerhouse when it comes to flavour and insane heat.” Noted.

The boys are also keeping their followers entertained on social media with some hilarious sketches that obviously play to Felix’s strengths.
You can catch them wheeling and dealing after making and baking down in the Marina Market this and every weekend adjacent to Poulez Vous, facing the seating area.
