There’s a new dog-friendly café on Washington Street

There’s a new cafe in the city, and if you like your caffeine served up with a vegan brownie, you’ll love Pink Moon.
Freshly opened at 23 Washington Street in Cork City, Pink Moon welcomes well-behaved pets so feel free to bring your canine companion along for the stroll.
They dish up tasty bites and strong coffee daily, with events and pop-ups in the pipeline.
Coffee is by Stone Valley Coffee Roasters, an ethical and sustainable roastery based in West Cork (the Round Midnight blend has notes of green apple, honeycomb and chocolate – divine).
Their Magic Bars are a slice of gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan heaven and you can start your day with a breakfast Comfort Bowl of stewed Tipperary apples, oat and nut crumble, coconut yogurt and berry compote, Power Porridge or Tropical Granola.
Fresh soups, baquettes, Cornish pasties and hot specials make up the lunch menu, with more to come in the New Year.
Teas are by Cork’s own Remedy Roots, who make herbal teas blended to help you detox, relieve stress, improve your sleep and even heal and soothe your skin and the gorgeous mural was created by Charleville artist Lorraine McDonnell.
The best bit? All drinks are served in compostable cups so you can feel extra good about supporting local.
