There’s a new coffee shop in Kinsale and it dates back to the 19th Century

Post a letter, pick up a latte.
Kinsale is known for its picturesque views, colourful streets, and vibrant food scene. And a new addition to the coffee scape has caught the attention of locals and visitors alike.
Located on Main Street, The Post Office Coffee Shop has an undeniable rustic charm, all bare brick interiors and wooden floors, tables, and chairs. The ambiance is super inviting, with comfortable couches placed by a large bright window at the front of the shop overlooking a bustling street so you can enjoy people-watching or reading the papers while basking in the Kinsale sun.
The warm yellow woollen throws from Granny’s Bottom Drawer Kinsale add to the cosy vibes.
The café name is inspired by the historic postbox embedded in the front of the building. Co-owner Varun says it’s thought to have been installed sometime between 1890-1905 during Queen Victoria’s reign.

But the real star of the show is the coffee. The Post Office Coffee Shop sources its coffee beans from Cork’s own Soma Coffee Company for the perfect latte, flat white or macchiato.
For those looking for a quick bite, the café offers a range of locally sourced treats such as protein balls from Two More Powerballs, tray bakes from Wazzy Woo and bites from The Kabin.
The Post Office Coffee Shop is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8am to 4.30pm.
