There’s a free art workshop for children with long-term medical conditions

Art should be an accessible pastime for all kids.
If you’re a child with a long-term medical issue however, the logistics of getting to a class or workshop and staying for the duration can make it tricky to take part.
Now Helium Arts are about to make it a little easier.
A new Saturday morning art class especially for children with a long-term medical issue will begin at Mayfield Arts Centre on September 14th, 2019.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and participants are asked to come prepared to get creative (old clothes or an apron are a must), trying everything from sculpture to collage, painting and animation.
The 12 workshops (11am to 1pm) led by artist Siobhán are free of charge and medical cover will be provided by a trained professional throughout.
To register, contact the Helium Arts family liaison by email at hello@helium.ie or call 044 93 96 960.
