There’s a baby disco AND a kids’ opera coming to town

Hold onto your flat whites, hipster parents.
The coolest musical events in town are taking place ever earlier; and they’re designed to thrill your offspring.
As part of this year’s Cork Midsummer Festival, DJ Dónal Dineen holds Tiny Dancer: A DJ Set For Kids in St Peter’s, North Main Street on June 16th.
The tunes begin at 11am (tickets €7/€5) and kids under 12 months go free.
Seoid/Jewel – An Opera for Babies and Small People will take place in the Graffiti Theatre, Blackpool (June 15th-17th and June 22nd-24th).
A musical and visual treat, the opera follows Seodín as she looks through a box of memories – her baby clothes, a much-loved toy, a blankie – and comes across a drawing of her mother and father.
Shows are at 11am and 2pm and tickets are €8.
Who knows – they might be so exhausted after all the excitement that they go to bed early.
