There’s a 3-day music festival happening on a Cork island (and you can book a cosy bell tent)

Pack your bags, festival fans.
If you thought the fun was over as soon as summer drew to a close, think again.
Open Ear is hosting an intimate autumnal adventure across the sonic terrains of Sherkin Island this October with ZONE, running for three days from October 21st-23rd.
The line-up of acts taking the ten-minute ferry for the party includes Baliboc & EMBY, Bea Brennan, Dublin, Elaine Howley, Flowers at Night, Kenny Hanlon, Lerosa, Lower Your Expectations, Mantua, Noisy Chilli, Oootini and Pablo Santo, to name but a few.

Glamping is also on offer so if you’re heading over with a gang you can book four tickets and a four-person heated bell tent for €175 a head – they’ll even throw in Open Ear umbrellas and a bottle of vodka.
If you’re feeling extra (or just old) you can even add airbeds and proper bedding.
“Returning heroes, debut live performances, and our usual spread of the weird and wonderful will take place across two nights and three days in a variety of indoor and treated venues across the island, including our return to the Jolly Roger (ye didn’t think we’d leave you out in the elements at this time of year).” the Open Ear crew announced on Instagram.
Tickets, from around €75 each for general admission, are available now here.
