The sell-out Buffy Quiz is back in Cork this July and fans are very excited
It sold out its first edition in September of last year.
Now the scoobies behind the Buffyverse Quiz are back in town for a second round on Friday, July 10th, at the Spailpín Fánach, this time with a dedicated round of questions to honour the iconic actor who played Giles- Anthony Stewart Head.
From spells and witches to slayer, Buffy-lore, vampires, and the show’s unforgettable soundtrack, every round of The Buffy Quiz is designed for fans who know their Hellmouth history inside out. Whether you’re a casual watcher or still quoting lines from Once More, with Feeling, there’ll be something to test your knowledge (and loyalty to your favourite Scooby).
For organisers, it’s another chance to bring a community together:
“The first one was sooo much fun- the place was full to the brim. Buffy fans in Ireland don’t really have any opportunities to connect with other people about the show- to some extent, it was met with stigma back in the day. So it was a joy for everyone to have the craic and test their knowledge and remember the show, the music, and the characters,” they told us.

The quiz promises concepts inspired by the show alongside adapted classics like the music round, all designed to bring fans together for a night of laughter, nostalgia, and a little friendly competition.
With strong early interest and places limited, fans are being encouraged to grab their spots quickly. Registration is essential for a 7.30pm start, and it’s free, over here.
