The Saw Doctors just announced a summer ’25 gig at Cork’s Virgin Media Park

By Yay Cork October 21, 2024October 21, 2024

This’ll be a belter.

The Saw Doctors are the latest act to confirm a date at Cork’s Virgin Media Park in summer 2025.

Following their sold-out shows in New York’s Central Park and Dublin’s Fairview Park, as well as a triumphant return performance at Electric Picnic, the acclaimed Galway rockers are set to headline Virgin Media Park on Saturday, June 14th.

Announcing the news, MCD Productions revealed that joining them as a special guest for the night will be the iconic Damien Dempsey, promising an unforgettable evening of music for fans.

Formed in 1986 in Tuam, The Saw Doctors are known for their energetic live performances and catchy tunes, especially their biggest hit, “I Useta Lover,” which topped the Irish charts for nine consecutive weeks in 1990 and remains one of the country’s best-selling singles.

Tickets for the Saw Doctors at Virgin Media Park go on Presale on Wednesday, October 23rd at 9am, with general sale available on Friday at 9am.

It’s gearing up to be a fun summer in the city, with the Stereophonics playing Virgin Media Park on June 7th – one of three Irish gigs planned as part of the band’s first tour in three years.
