What does a nebula taste like? Find out at Cork’s Space Cocktails Speakeasy

Just when you thought you’d drank it all.
A Space Cocktails Speakeasy will open for one night only this November at a secret Cork City Centre location.
The fun adults-only event has been organised as part of SpaceFest, which combines science and the arts to explore the cosmos, and will see Dr Alfredo Carpineti, also known as the Astroholic, lead an astro-inspired mixology workshop with hands-on demonstrations on Wednesday, November 13th.
If you like a snack with your tipple, fear not; Ballymaloe-trained chef and food truck alumni Niamh Hegarty will also be behind the bar to pair some tasty space hors d’oeuvres inspired by the first fermentation on the ISS.
What does a nebula taste like in liquid form? What cocktail could we make with ingredients found on Mars? You’ll find the answers to these and plenty more questions at the end of your glass.
Each guest will enjoy four mini cocktails, with mocktail alternatives available, and tickets are available now at €20 here.
This year’s SpaceFest festival offers a week-long programme for adults, teens, and families, running from Sunday, November 10th through Sunday, November 17th.
You can check out all the upcoming experiments, exhibitions, tours, classes, and workshops here.
