The Metropole Hotel’s lobby will be closed until May for a refurbishment project

It’s been welcoming guests for 127 years.
Now the Metropole Hotel’s storied lobby has closed to the public for a few months as a major refurbishment gets underway at the MacCurtain Street venue.
Announcing the news on their Instagram feed, the hotel’s management explained that the hotel will remain open for business throughout the works, although access could be limited for guests with wheelchairs or mobility issues during this time.
“We’re excited to announce that the Metropole Hotel is undergoing a refurbishment to enhance your stay with us! Please note that some areas may be temporarily unavailable.” they said.

You can access the Met Bar and Restaurant and the hotel’s Tearooms through the MacCurtain Street entrance. The hotel reception, conference and banqueting team will be located on the first floor while the building work is underway.
