Some dates have already sold out.
The famous Christmas-themed Model Railway train is back this year and they’re taking bookings for the festive period.
Following its phenomenal success in 2021, The Polar Express returns to Clonakilty from Friday, November 25th with a jam-packed Santa’s sleigh full of festive activities for the entire family.
Powered by Christmas songs and holiday cheer, train hoppers will board the enchanted carriage to whizz around town before visiting Mr and Mrs Claus in their specially-kitted out carriage for some photos and jolly chats with the famous couple.
Each child will receive a personal gift as part of the experience (€22 per child), before exploring the toy workshop and craft activities in the main venue.
“We are planning and creating a more festive and magical experience this year! With new activities and new characters, we’re gearing up for some wonderful festive fun,” the team revealed on Instagram.
Excited smallies will once again drop off their letters at Santa’s Postbox, follow the festive glow toward the Village of Lights, discover a miniature West Cork, play with the remote control boats and mini diggers and explore the indoor play area.

All in, the experience will take an hour to 90 minutes and the crew at Model Railway are recommending planning for a two-hour visit- so keep this in mind when selecting your date and time.
Unfortunately, the ASD-friendly time slots are fully booked out for now, but you can add your name to the waiting list by emailing email@example.com. To check availability and to book your seat, head over to their website here.
