The Franciscan Well is hosting a huge Jazz Weekend Beer Festival

Brought to you by the Franciscan Well Brew Pub.
Planning on sinking a few pints over the October bank holiday?
Cork’s best known brew pub has just announced details of one of the best parties in town for beer fans; and it’s all happening over the Jazz Weekend.
The award-winning Franciscan Well Brewery is getting ready to host their 19th annual October Beer Festival from October 25th – 27th, 2019 at the Brew Pub on Cork’s North Mall… and this one’s looking like the absolute craic.
As well as a top-class beer menu, fresh Pompeii Pizzas made to order in the beer garden and a beer-based cocktail special in MONK Cocktail Bar, this year’s line-up includes two full days of live music with local bands such as the Latin Trio, Fandango, Hot Club Belvedere, to name but a few.
There’s no charge on the door either (just rock up whenever suits) so you can spend all your cash on sampling new and exciting brews. Speaking of which…
“This year we will have a Barrel Aged Section,” reveals Franciscan Well Marketing Manager Kate Clancy. “Beers will include Petrus: Foder Pale Ale, aged in brandy casks and the very last (ever!) of the Franciscan Well Chieftain, aged in Jameson casks (that one’s been kegged since 2011).”
DOT Brew will be serving up their Rum Red Dark IV, aged in ex Irish blend whiskey and ex rum barrels and Capture of Muscat, a pale ale saison aged in muscat barrels.
Some of the other highlights will be Soulwater – Kojack milk stout 4.5%, Sierra Nevada Life & Limb, American Strong Ale 10.2%, Ayinger Celebrator DoppleBock and a Lough Gill Sloe Gin Gose collab with Five Points Brewing in London.
Tasty stuff.
