The fierce fancy new Easons shop is now open on St Patrick’s Street

The building has been completely transformed.
And now, after years of careful restoration work to its characterful facade, the former Victoria Hotel on Cork’s busiest street is open again, this time as a fancy new Easons store.
You can swing by No. 35-36 St Patrick’s Street for a look at the beautifully restored limestone, every inch of which has been painstakingly preserved by heritage conservation company Southgate Associates.
The masonry work was completed by SummerHill, Youghal-based Ahern Bros, and Christian Helling with leadwork by Thomas Parsons. Arup and Grafton Architects are behind a transformative design of the new on-street shop fronts.
The interior is pretty swanky too.
“If you’re in Cork City today come and visit our team at this historic location – formerly The Victoria Hotel,” Easons announced on Twitter.
“The building has been lovingly restored and now showcases the ranges you’ve come to know from Eason. We can’t wait to see you!”
