There are 36 homes in total.

And while it’s a drop in the ocean in terms of the need for housing right now, a handful of lucky applicants will soon be moving into a new Affordable Housing Scheme at Cluain Chaoin, Kerry Road, Tower.

The houses are available for purchase by first-time buyers who do not own or have a legal interest in a dwelling, with some exceptions applicable.

Launched this week by Cork City Council in collaboration with Vella Homes & Cohalan Downing, an online application portal will go live on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 at 12 noon and remain open until Tuesday, October 11th 2022 at midnight.

With a total of 36 affordable homes, the development includes six two-bedroom bungalows being made available for purchase from €241,000, 26 three-bedroom townhouses from €280,000, and four four-bedroom semi-detached houses from €305,000.
