If you like to embrace Halloween and squeeze it for all its wholesome autumn goodness, then cancel your plans for this Sunday.
Cork charity, The Field of Dreams is opening its very own pumpkin patch in Curraheen this weekend; Sunday, October 13th, 2024.
The popular Pick A Pumpkin festival is back with a spooktacular range of events where guests can select their very own pumpkin in a dizzying array of shapes, colours and sizes.
Where’s it all happening?
The event will take place at Clash Road, Curraheen which (post and pre-Halloween season) is usually used as a safe and supportive environment specifically catering to the training and educational needs of adults with Down Syndrome in a unique and social farming horticultural environment.
“On the day, you will follow the Pumpkin Trail around the site with stops along the way including the Haunted Cabin, the outdoor Games Area, the Sheep Pen, the Halloween Photo Booth, the Arts and Crafts area and of course… our Pumpkin Patch!” they told us.
“We will also have scary songs and stories, Halloween tattoos (temporary ones!!) and our Guess the Pumpkin Weight competition. Our Pumpkin Café will also be open each day with a selection of seasonal sweet treats along with a range of hot and cold beverages.”
Pumpkin tickets are €20 and if you don’t want to take one home, you can still pop in and enjoy all the seasonal fun for €5 but you must book your time slot here.
