The Cork weekend weather forecast is a rather mixed bag

We’ve been cooped up for most of the week.
But Met Éireann’s weekend weather forecast for Cork reveals there will be some points where we can escape the house and get some fresh air over the coming days.
The good news is it will be generally dry today, Friday, with sunny spells and just well-scattered showers and highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.
Cloud will thicken tonight with wet and breezy conditions spreading from the southwest and it will be a wet and breezy start in Cork on Saturday morning with rain turning heavy at times.

Forecasters predict the rain will turn patchy and gradually clear northeastwards during the afternoon leaving a breezy day with highs of 17 to 20 degrees.
Met Éireann says conditions will be “mixed and, at times unsettled, this weekend and early next week. Noticeably cooler on Monday.”
Saturday night will be dry in many areas to begin with variable cloud and some clear breaks, although patchy rain or showers may affect southern and southeastern coastal areas for a time.
“Sunday will bring a mix of bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers will become increasingly confined to the west and northwest during the afternoon with most places becoming dry by evening.”
