Get out and enjoy it while you can.
As we await news on whether or not we’re facing a second lockdown, Met Éireann has offered a little weather-related positivity to get us through a dodgy day.
According to forecasters, it will become drier and brighter later this morning with some sunny spells and highest temperatures of between 13C and 15C.
The advice is to get your fill of the outdoors early, however; showers will develop in the west in the afternoon and will spread across the region this evening.
“Tonight, there’ll be showers or longer spells of rain in all areas. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds.” the forecaster said.
“Tuesday will bring a mix of bright or sunny spells and showers to all areas, some heavy. In the evening, there’ll be longer spells near the southwest coast. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees with moderate to fresh, gusty westerly winds.”
Current indications suggest a mixed bag of showers and sunny spells for the rest of the week, with temperatures dropping as low as 1C on Thursday night.
