Taking on a big house project? Join Hugh Wallace for an afternoon of tips and tipples
Renovating or building can be a lonely road.
But if you’ve got your sights set on creating your dream home this year, an upcoming event will supply enough solid advice and expert guidance to set you off on the right track.
Host West Cork will present Abhaile, a lovely afternoon of nibbles, bubbles and top-notch direction from experts in their field, who have also been through renovations and new builds, on Sunday, April 13th at Clonakilty’s Fernhill House Hotel.
Host is owned by Siobhán O’Mahony, who recently appeared with her family in RTÉ’s Great Irish House Revival.
Announcing the compere for the event, Host West Cork revealed that architect and the show’s star Hugh Wallace will be leading proceedings on the day.

“While filming The Great Irish House Revival, we got to see how much Hugh’s first-hand knowledge helped us with our project. When the seed of this idea came to mind, we could only dream that Hugh would come on board, but come on board, he did.” Siobhán said.
“Hugh will be with us on the afternoon of the 13th of April to share his knowledge and keep all of the panellists in line. No better man.”
Parson’s House pair Mary Claire and Sully and Robert Hennessey of Victorian Renovation Glenbrook, previous stars of The Great Irish House Revival, and Anna Bougharbel from @iaorana_house will also speak on the panel at the event.
Ticket purchasing information (€60pp) is available by emailing hostwestcork@gmail.com
