Take a sunset cruise around the Fastnet with an artisan cocktail in hand

Is your summer a little short of magical memories?
It’s one thing witnessing the mythic Fastnet lighthouse from afar, but it’s an entirely different experience gliding around its sharp edges and learning about those who kept the light beaming for all those years.
Especially when you’ve got a fancy artisan cocktail in your hand to sip as you go.
Now, the wonderful folks over at West Cork’s Foxglove Cocktails are teaming up with Cape Clear Ferries to create a unique sunset cruise experience so you can marvel at the majesty of the tower, and have a party at the same time.
The first Fastnet Lighthouse opened in 1849, was a cast iron tower designed by George Halpin, built because the old light on Clear Island was too far inside outlying danger and at so high an elevation that it was frequently obscured by fog.
These days, it’s an iconic landmark overlooking the high seas of Corcaigh that tourists flock to each year.
“Get your sea legs ready, because the Foxglove x Fastnet Sunset Cruise is about to change the game – on Sunday 13th August. It’s three hours of unmatched craic, from 6pm to 9pm, sailing out of Baltimore Harbour on Cape Clear Ferries’ newest vessel, The Carraig Aonair,” said the crew.
“We have got the sunset, the sea, and let’s not forget, our onboard DJ, Luke Carthy, who will be spinning the choons that’ll make even the seagulls want to groove.”

Each passenger will be given five (yes, five!) complimentary cocktail tokens on the trip.
The Fastnet x Foxglove Sunset Cruise takes place on Sunday, August 13th from 6pm departing from Baltimore Pier.
It’s a strictly over 21s event and tickets are €50 per person from the Foxglove Cocktail Co website.
