Take a fun foraging walk through a Cork park for a wild food and drink tasting

Want more from your weekend ramble?
If you’ve always been curious about foraging for wild food but you’re (quite rightly) a bit apprehensive about where to start, there’s a unique opportunity to learn from a pro this weekend.
Since 2006, Kevin O’Connell of Forage and Find has been rummaging through hedgerows, concocting delicious wild food and remedies from plants that grow in most Irish woodland areas.
Kevin now leads groups through the woods and countryside hedges on a fascinating interactive lesson on what’s safe to pick and what to avoid.
The last foraging walk of the season is happening in the Regional Park, Ballincollig this Saturday, October 22nd.

Beginning at 11am and lasting around two-and-a-half hours, the event will include wild food and drink tasters, with the tour focusing mainly on berries and roots, and nuts.
The cost is €25 per person (you can reserve your place here) and the group will meet at the west side car park near the bridge.
