Take a free adult face-painting class and join the crew for the Dragon of Shandon

It’s time to practice your scary face.
The jewel in Cork’s Halloween crown, the Dragon of Shandon attracts huge crowds every year to watch the creatures big and small prowl through the streets.
In the run-up to that event, Cork Art Link is inviting adults aged over 18 to come along to some free face painting classes in their community studio and through the creative application of face paint, learn to release the monster within.
“Imagine all the curious creatures that take to the streets to accompany the Dragon for her celebratory parade. Explore different techniques that create curious, expressive, and spooky creatures and experience bringing this to life on the night of The Dragon of Shandon Parade,” said Cork Art Link on Instagram, inviting adults of all ages to come along to learn, play and connect with others in the community: and there’s no experience necessary
“Open to anyone 18+, no experience required, beginners, those who can share skills, new to the city or been around the block, we’re here to support your ideas, dreams, and creative energy.”
