Swap seeds or clothes at this wholesome spring swap meet in West Cork

Craving a wholesome Sunday that doesn’t involve a shopping centre?
This might be just the thing.
Spring Swap 2026: Seeds & Threads is taking place in CECAS Myross Wood House in Leap on Sunday, March 1st from 11am to 2pm — and it’s shaping up to be a feel-good day of fresh air, community spirit and sustainable swapping.
The idea is simple: Bring five. Donate €5. Take five. That’s it.
Green thumbs can bring along seeds and cuttings to trade, while anyone in the mood for a wardrobe refresh can drop off freshly washed clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. Whether you’re looking to add colour to your garden beds or finally pass on that jacket you never wear, there’s room for both plants and pre-loved fashion here.
There are just a couple of ground rules. All seeds must be clearly labelled with the plant name, variety and date harvested — and in a nod to protecting Ireland’s native biodiversity, no invasive species are allowed.

It’s all about sharing, reuse and connection — giving people a chance to swap rather than shop, chat rather than scroll, and spend a relaxed few hours in the countryside doing something practical and positive.
So pack up those spare seeds, clear out the wardrobe and make a morning of it. You might leave with a new favourite outfit, a handful of future blooms, and a little burst of spring inspiration.
Book your €5 ticket here.
