Sunny week ahead in Cork as temperatures climb to 21C by Wednesday

We are fully ready for blast of proper sunshine.
And this week, Met Éireann seems pretty confident we’re going to get it; high pressure is finally headed our way.
After a cloudy start this morning, the forecaster say it will brighten up through the morning with some hazy sunshine developing, becoming widespread by the afternoon along with highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
We can expect largely settled conditions over the coming days with plenty of dry, bright and warm weather and temperatures hitting 20C on Tuesday.
A few showers are possible in the afternoon on Wednesday but otherwise it’ll be dry and sunny with temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.
Cloud will extend southwards across the country with some light isolated showers on Thursday but temperatures will stay between 15 to 20 degrees in Munster.
Looking good for the bank holiday too…
“Nearby high pressure looks likely to continue to dominate our weather although some light rain or showers are possible at times.” said a Met Éireann forecaster.
“Daytime temperatures will fall back slightly next weekend, generally getting into the mid-teens.”
In the meantime? Sunglasses and iced coffees all the way, mate. Summer’s come early.
