“Substantial amount” of money handed in at Fermoy Garda Station

Have you lost a lot of money recently?
Gardaí at Fermoy Garda Station are seeking the rightful owner of a “substantial amount of money,” which was handed in on Monday morning.
In a post on the Garda Síochana – Cork, Kerry, Limerick – Southern Region Facebook page, they announced: “A substantial amount of money was found in Kilworth, Co.Cork this morning and handed into Fermoy Garda Station.
“The person who lost it will be able to identify it, so please share and we’ll reunite it with the owner.”
The post has since been shared over 230 times on Facebook, but it appears that the owner of the money has not yet come forward.
Gardaí have not specified the amount of money that was found, which is presumably to weed out any chancers who may try their hand at falsely claiming that the money is theirs.
If you think the mystery money might belong to you, either visit Fermoy Garda Station or contact them 24/7 on 025 82100.
