Storm Eunice: Cork Airport warns travel disruption is likely with ‘damaging gusts’ expected

It’s not an ideal day for flying.
Cork Airport has warned passengers that Storm Eunice is likely to wreak havoc on travel plans this Friday.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange wind warning for Cork, Kerry, Clare, Limerick, Waterford, Galway and Wexford on Friday morning, with the storm forecasted to track over Ireland from the South West on Thursday night and into Friday.
“Departing passengers and those meeting arriving passengers on Friday should allow extra time for journeys to @CorkAirport due to #StormEunice forecasted to bring strong winds, damaging gusts, heavy rain, sleet and possibly snow with disruption likely until 15.00 in the afternoon.” Cork Airport tweeted.

In the meantime, Thursday will be blustery with bright spells and scattered showers of rain or hail, turning heavy at times.
Highest temperatures will range between 5C and 8C as cloud builds later in the day ahead of rain and strengthening winds from Storm Eunice.
