Stocked with books and games, this Old Church Hall is now a stylish West Cork Airbnb

It’s 200 years old.
But inside Ballydehob’s historic Church Hall, overnight guests are kicking back in luxury after the building was transformed into a stylish base for West Cork staycations.
Hosts Caragh and Jonathan have been racking up rave reviews from guests, who describe the two-bedroom townhouse as “fantastic”.

With rustic terracotta flooring throughout (don’t worry; underfloor heating and a solid-fuel stove will keep your toes cosy) the open-plan layout features a fully equipped kitchen and a double-height living and dining area.
The bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower, while the second bedroom is a spacious mezzanine with two single beds overlooking the open-plan living room.
“The care and love put into this property is incredible, from the gorgeous kitchenware, beautiful lighting, fire with charcoal and wood, record player, array of books and games – ornate woodwork and stunning features in the old church hall – it’s simply a stunning property to stay in,” said Aussie guest Barbara.

“We wanted to come back to West Cork this year and we were blown away by this property.” said Shaun, who visited from the UK.
“The photos don’t do it justice, it is a design marvel.”
Smack, bang in the middle of Ballydehob town, the property has all the space you need to cook, but that might mean missing out on the fabulous selection of bars and restaurants just a stone’s throw from the door.
The Old Church Hall, Ballydehob is available to book on Airbnb from €165 per night (two-night minimum).
