SPA DAY: Here are all the reopening dates and deals for Cork’s most popular spas

Hand us a fluffy robe.
It’s been a rough 12 months and an industrial level of pampering is in order, especially if we are all expected to re-enter society and meet other humans in real life again this summer.
With hotel breaks back on the cards from June 2nd, some of Cork’s best spas are opening their books for reservations this week – and you don’t even need to be a resident to indulge in a muscle-soothing massage or a reviving facial.
As well as luxurious treatments designed to make you forget the first five months of the year (and all of 2020), many Cork spas offer a full range of beauty touch-ups too, so ask them about manicures, pedicures, waxing and tinting – there’s never been a better excuse to de-fuzz and de-stress at the same time.
Here are six Cork spas to check out first:
1. ESCAPE SPA AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL
Open
The Imperial Hotel Escape SPA crew is fluffing the towels and warming the oils for reopening today, Tuesday, May 11th. New packages will be announced soon, but if you’re in desperate need of de-frazzling, slip into the tranquil city sanctuary for their Indian Head Massage with Aveda hair treatment (€95).
This Ayurvedic form of healing and relaxation addresses the back, neck and shoulders, and the scalp and face using a variety of massage pressures and techniques, promoting relaxation, relieving headaches, and reducing stress.
For bookings or general queries call 021 730 6622 or email escape@imperialhotelcork.ie.
2. THE SPA AT CASTLEMARTYR RESORT
Reopening: May 24th
The award-winning Spa team at Castlemartyr Resort will be reopening on Monday, May 24th. A variety of ESPA and Germaine de Capuccini treatments are on offer, with half-day packages from just €70 midweek. After a very long year, the Maryborough Spa Signature Facial (€130) is the treatment we all need right now. A 90-minute festival of cleansing, steaming, exfoliation, and massage for the face, neck and chest, this treatment finishes with a scalp and foot massage while your toning mask is setting.
To book in call 021 4918350 or email spa@maryborough.ie.
4. BELLEVUE SPA AT THE MONTENOTTE HOTEL

The Bellevue Spa reopened on Monday, May 10th for pre-booked appointments. To celebrate, they’ve launched a 60-minute Summer Renew Reopening Special including two treatments (choose from the Express Facial, Hot Oil Back Scrub, or a selection of massages) and a glass of Prosecco for €95.
