That was fast.
Cork’s newest rooftop restaurant only opened for bookings yesterday, but every table available for dinner has been reserved between now and Christmas.
Sophie’s at The Dean, the new hotel near the train station, is now fully booked for every Thursday to Sunday dinner in December, as well as Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, as eager diners clamoured for spots in the glass eatery.
The New York Italian inspired menu combines the most popular dishes from their sister restaurant in Dublin, with new dishes created using the best of the county’s local ingredients and suppliers, including Castletownbere crab, butter and yoghurt from Glenilen Farm in Drimoleague, and cured meats and cheese from Gubbeen Farmhouse.
If you’re determined to be among the first to check out the views from the restaurant’s two sixth-floor terraces, they serve breakfast from 7am weekdays and from 8am on weekends, as well as lunch and brunch so check out availability here.
