Somebody censored these posters for the Crawford’s nude art exhibition

Who knew Cork folk were so stuffy?
A poster advertising an upcoming exhibition of nude art at The Crawford Art Gallery has been defaced… in the most conservative way ever.
A banner featuring ‘Giraffe Man’, an oil painting by the artist Elizabeth Cope, was given a modest makeover by an anonymous person this week.
The subjects genitals were discretely scribbled over in black marker.
We’ve been censored! Our poster boy – ‘Giraffe Man’ by Elizabeth Cope – has become a little more modest, but you can see the uncensored version in our NAKED TRUTH exhibition.
Thanks to all who attended this weekend’s free public tours!

Addressing the banners on Twitter, The Crawford said: ‘We’ve been censored! Our poster boy – ‘Giraffe Man’ by Elizabeth Cope – has become a little more modest, but you can see the uncensored version in our NAKED TRUTH exhibition.’
In case you were wondering, this is what ‘Giraffe Man’ looks like in all his glory.
Naked Truth runs at The Crawford Art Gallery until October 28th and entry is free.
