Almost half of people currently working from home are working longer hours.

While the commute from bed to desk is shorter, even with a coffee stop in the kitchen on the way, the new normal has 44 per cent of workers slogging away at the laptop long after quitting time and 21 per cent admit they can’t switch off when the workday is officially over.

Now there’s a new way to show your employees you care; sisters Hannah and Rachel Dare, owners of Organico in Bantry, have put together a Working From Home Care Pack that can be ordered online and shipped to your team member’s homes.

The idea came about when Hannah’s husband, John Prendergast, co-owner of a tech business in Kenmare, wanted a way to show his appreciation to his homebound staff.

“We’re all realising that working from home is no picnic,” John said, “So I wanted to thank my staff for the extra efforts they’re going to while required to work outside of the normal office environment.’

Together, Hannah and John selected a variety of supportive Organico products, including healthy and indulgent snacks, tea and coffee, and self-care products—and shipped the selection to John’s staff.

Staff were delighted, so Hannah and Rachel decided to make the packs an official product in the online shop.
