Sadie the St Bernard is a big girl with a big heart – and she’s looking for a new home

It’s a busy time at Cork DAWG.
With more abandoned, abused and unwanted dogs to rehome than ever, space is at a premium… and one adorable guest takes up more space than most.
Shelter staff have put out an appeal to find a loving forever home for Sadie, a three-year-old St Bernard who is currently in their care through no fault of her own.
Sadie adores long walks and loves spending time with people. In fact, she’s happiest when she’s being smothered in hugs and kisses and in the middle of a busy household.
St Bernards are known for their calm, gentle, patient temperament so they are ideally suited to families with children. Sadie is accustomed to being the only dog in the home so that’s probably best for her going forward, but she does get on with other dogs.
An occasional bread roll or sausage will secure her adoration – the potential owner with either of those treats is guaranteed a friend for life.
