Ryanair to launch new route to Venice out of Cork Airport

Ciao bella!
Cork Airport this morning announced that it would soon be operating a twice-weekly flight to the Italian city of Venice.
Beginning on March 29th of next year, Ryanair will fly to and from Venice on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The famous city is built upon 118 small islands connected by over 400 bridges, and can be traversed by gondolas, water-taxis and vaporetti (water-buses). The destination is regarded as one of the most unique (and most romantic) on earth.

The latest announcement comes at a time of flourishing for Cork Airport, where it was confirmed last week that Ryanair would reopen its bases and recommence all of its routes. This was followed days later by the announcement of a twice-weekly flight to Paris, operated by Spanish airline Vueling.
The airport is currently under maintenance as work continues on a €40m upgrade to the runway, but it is expected to be open again by November 22nd.
