REVEALED: Ryanair just announced five new Cork routes for winter

This is excellent timing.
With that unmistakable ‘back-to-school’ vibe in the air, those summer holiday memories are fading fast, but Ryanair just announced a selection of tempting new routes ex Cork for winter ’23.
At a press conference at Cork Airport this morning, the budget airline announced five new routes in total:
- Barcelona
- Fuerteventura
- Seville
- Paris
- Treviso
If it’s a dose of winter Vitamin D you’re after in the coming months, there will also be increased frequency on flights to Faro, Gran Canaria, Malaga, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Rome.
A total of 30 new jobs will be created at Cork Airport thanks to an overall investment of €279m by the airline, which currently operates 23 routes from Cork Airport, carrying 2.3m passengers every year.
“To support Ryanair’s biggest ever Winter schedule to/from Cork, we have added one new aircraft at Cork Airport, bringing our total based aircraft to three– a $300m investment and creating over 30 new high pay jobs,” said Ryanair’s Dara Brady.
“Ryanair’s continued growth and investment at Cork is a direct result of the cost certainty provided by Cork Airport’s long-term commitment to maintain competitive airport charges.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with Cork Airport to further deliver important regional development, connectivity, jobs, and year-round tourism into the Winter 23/24 season.”
Best not put that luggage in the attic just yet.
