Registration just opened for the first KinShip nature walk (and you can go along for free)

It’s a brilliant excuse for some exercise.
Registration is now open for the first event in an intriguing new programme of happenings at Tramore Valley Park.
As part of the ‘Becoming Kin’ series, Cork Nature Network is inviting the public on a two-hour guided nature walk through the 170-acre amenity, a former landfill site south of Cork City.
Guide John Armstrong will take a group on a fascinating tour of the wonderful natural beauty that can be found right on our doorsteps from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, February 27th, 2022.
Led by artists LennonTaylor (Marilyn Lennon and Seán Taylor), in partnership with Cork City Council, as part of ‘Becoming Kin’, The KinShip project is now welcoming expressions of interest from any Cork city-based person, group, organisation, or group of friends who have knowledge, know-how, or skills to share with the public.
Participants may wish to contribute by delivering talks and workshops or by guiding walks and other park-based activities on the last Sunday of every month.
Registration for the nature walk is required (you can sign up via Eventbrite) as spaces are limited.
