‘Rebelair’ meme solves the great Cork travel dilemma

Bualadh bos for this.
Some might say that Cork people love Cork too much, whereas Corkonians know that simply is not possible. The sentiment is captured perfectly and hilariously in an airline poster mock-up, designed by artist Jason O’Gorman of Dynamite Studio.
It’s so well done that, at first glance, you might really think a new Cork-based airline had been launched… until you look closer and see that what Rebelair offers is “Direct flights from Cork to Cork” so you can “Experience the joy of holiday flights without the discomfort of leaving Cork.”

It’s a widespread sentiment this week, with Derry Girls actress Siobhán McSweeney explaining why she had never visited the six counties before being cast as Sister Michael on the hit show.
I’m from Cork. I don’t see the point going anywhere else tbh. https://t.co/m1J9XeSSrE

Travel is set to reopen from July 19th, as long as the Delta variant is kept in check, and Cork Airport will be offering routes to the likes of Spain, Portugal, Malta, France and Switzerland. Cork to Cork flights, sadly, remain a figment of our dreams.
