Ready to build that extension? Chat with an architect for a €95 charity donation

Need more space?
If the property market is forcing you to stay put instead of moving, you may be one of many Cork homeowners dreaming of renovating or building an extension.
Now there’s an opportunity to get the show on the road by chatting to an architect… and it’s all for an excellent cause.
The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and the Simon Communities are once again joining forces to launch the annual RIAI Simon Open Door campaign.
Registered architects all around Ireland will offer their expertise to members of the public, both online and in person, in exchange for a donation of €95 to Simon Communities.
“Over the last two years, we have spent more time than ever in our homes, and many have had to readjust their living spaces.” said Charlotte Sheridan, RIAI President.
“An important issue with rising energy costs is also the need to future-proof our homes. Registered Architects are making themselves available around the country to donate their time and support Simon Communities. The RIAI and its members are proud to partner to tackle homelessness across Ireland and to support the vital services provided by Simon Communities at this time.”
Registration for the event is now open and people are encouraged to book a consultation with a RIAI-registered architect in their local area by visiting riaisimonopendoor.ie.
