Rain on the way: Met Éireann is forecasting showers for Cork

We can barely remember what it looks like.
After weeks of balmy heatwave weather and a national drought, Ireland is due to get some much-needed hydration today in the form of scattered rain showers.
Temperatures in Cork will peak at 23C, a few degrees cooler than last week.
Cloudier skies through today will bring scattered outbreaks of rain or drizzle to places, but amounts of rain will be small and it will still be dry most of the time. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in light northerly breezes. pic.twitter.com/Xc3KR8frPZ

It will be mostly dry and warm throughout Tuesday with good spells of hazy sunshine but some light showers will break out across Munster during the afternoon and evening.
“Cloudier skies through today will bring scattered outbreaks of rain or drizzle to places, but amounts of rain will be small and it will still be dry most of the time,” said Met Eireann.
The mercury is expected to rise once again for the weekend, with highs of up to 27C forecast on Saturday.
