Pups and their humans are invited to A Dog’s Day Out in East Cork in April

Cork is getting more dog-friendly by the day.
Hot on the heels of Pups in the Park, which visits Cork for the first time this spring at the Showgrounds, another bumper pet-centric event has just been announced in East Cork.
Dog lovers everywhere are invited to attend a fun-filled day at The Ballymaloe Grainstore on the grounds of Ballymaloe Farm this April 2nd, 2023.
A Dog’s’ Day Out is run in association with Top Barkz Cork, and the event is aimed at the whole family with talks, training demonstrations, puppy play areas, and stalls.

There will be food on sale for humans and canines alike, so all furry friends will be well-fed for the day.
“A Dog’s Day Out at The Grainstore is a celebration of our beloved canine friends and all the happiness they bring to our lives,” said Festival Manager Bree Allen.
“There are so many different activities happening on the day; you can enjoy chilling out on the grounds of Ballymaloe Farm with your pooch, bring your puppy to an area where they can play safely, or watch trainers and learn from professionals in the undercover Big Shed main arena.”
“We have a great lineup of talks, with the K9 Clinic, Catherine Griffin from Scent and Snout, and lots more.” added Esther Ring, founder of Top Barkz Cork.
“We’ll also have dog training and dog sport demonstrations with a host of visiting groups, including Hounds and Helis, and Dogsercise. I am particularly excited about the Munster Lowlands Search and Rescue demonstration, and Doga promises to be a lot of fun- this is yoga with your dog in the Walled Garden.”
A Dog’s Day Out at Ballymaloe takes place on April 2nd from 10am to 4.30pm with gates open from 9.30am. Tickets are €15 for the day with free entry for children under 12. For more see ballymaloegrainstore.com.
