Pumpkin Picking in Cork 2025: All the spookiest patches to visit this Halloween

By Katie Mythen-Lynch September 8, 2025September 8, 2025

Dig out the wellies — pumpkin picking season is here.

Cork’s best pumpkin patches are opening their gates for autumn adventures, offering everything from family-friendly fun to spooky surprises.

Whether you’re after the perfect pumpkin for carving, haunted hay rides, or a witches’ forest, there are plenty of pumpkin picking spots in Cork worth visiting this October.

Here’s your guide to the top pumpkin patches and Halloween events in Cork for 2025:

Ovens Pumpkin Patch, Cork Christmas Tree Farm, Ovens

Looking for a pumpkin patch near Cork City? Ovens Pumpkin Patch is a family run farm just 15 minutes from town. Visitors can pick pumpkins, enjoy autumn activities, and take part in a seasonal event that celebrates the spirit of Samhain in Ireland.

This family run farm manages its land in an eco-friendly way. Shropshire sheep graze the fields, reducing the need for herbicide; this helps tend the land, maintain soil health, and set a positive example for sustainable farming in Ireland.

Expect themed displays, farm animals, autumn games, food stalls with seasonal products, including hot chocolate and local treats.

  • Dates: The last two weekends of October
  • Tickets: €10 per person, kids under two free
  • Book tickets here.
