PSA: This is where you can get FREE crêpes on Pancake Tuesday

Get down there early.
This year, Gino’s Gelato is celebrating Pancake Tuesday, February 25th, by giving away free traditional crêpes to all customers until 12pm.
The sugar and lemon crêpes will be dished up hot until midday at the Oliver Plunkett Street and Paul Street counters – no strings attached.
Of course, if your tastes demand more than the run-of-the-mill version, you can always pay for a Gino’s Chocolate Oreo Crêpe with crushed biscuits, white chocolate sauce and fresh cream or a Gino’s Special with Nutella, sliced banana and chopped strawberries, but fans of the old favourite lemon-and-sugar treat can enjoy it without putting their hand in their pocket.
So, what’s the real difference between pancakes and crêpes anyway?
“The main difference is that pancake batter has a raising agent in it, such as baking powder or baking soda, and crêpe batter doesn’t.” explains the head pancake slinger at Gino’s.
“This means that pancakes are thicker and fluffy while crêpes are thin and flat.”
So now you know.
