Popular seaside restaurants forced to close as staff members are tested for Covid-19

Hopefully, it won’t be for long.
The scenic Bunnyconnellan Restaurant and The Lodge Bar & Kitchen Myrtleville have announced they will close their doors for a few days as staff members are tested for Covid-19.
Announcing the decision on social media, the management at the coastal sister venues confirmed that service has been halted for the rest of the week.
“To our customers, Safety for everyone is our priority. Unfortunately, we will close our premises tomorrow Thursday & Friday due to staff members being tested for Covid-19.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Take care. Paul, Kathy & the Bunny team.”
The bar and restaurant, a firm favourite in Cork for more than 70 years, has recently had a makeover inside in preparation for the return of indoor dining.
Bunny’s is not the only coastal eatery to have its plans scuppered by Covid cases this week. O’Sullivan’s in Crookhaven has closed both their bar and the shop until Thursday, August 5th, 2021.
If you’re heading for Crook this weekend, you can still stop by Nottages for a bite to eat: “We have staff that are fully vaccinated or non close contact status with a negative PCR test result who will open Nottage’s Bar with a limited menu from O’Sullivan’s from this Thursday the 29th. There is limited indoor dining, which can be reserved.” the team explained.
