Popular Kinsale coffee shop and chocolatier closes temporarily due to Covid

We hope everyone stays healthy.
We’re big fans of Koko of Kinsale here, so we’re sorry to say that the beloved Kinsale coffee and artisan chocolate shop will be closed for the next little while.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday, Koko’s confirmed that the Omicron variant has caused problems for both their staff and their customers. The tweet read: “Better safe than sorry. We have closed for a few days as there are close contacts amongst staff and customers. Please give us a retweet to let as many as possible know. #omnicrom”

The shop is well-known for chocolate so popular that it often sells out, and also offers delicious coffee to go.
Many Cork businesses are affected by the latest surge in Covid figures, driven by the Omicron variant. Yesterday’s numbers announcement was the highest since the outset of the virus, with 16,428 cases confirmed. 92 people are now in ICU.
