It’s disappointing news for foodies this weekend.
Cork Michelin Bib Gourmand winners Goldie have been forced to close ahead of the busy bank holiday due to a case of Covid-19 on the staff.
Announcing the decision on Instagram, the management, led by chef Aishling Moore said:
“We have had a colleague test positive for Covid-19. For our team’s safety and yours, we will remain closed in the coming days. Thanks for all your amazing support so far.”

Goldie is not the only popular eatery that will remain closed for safety reasons this weekend. Both the Bunnyconnellan Coastal Restaurant and The Lodge Bar & Kitchen are closed for now as staff wait for Covid-19 test results.
In West Cork, O’Sullivan’s Bar and shop are also closed due to a coronavirus outbreak in Crookhaven.
