People are very excited about new Irish-made hangover-stopper, Tipple

Here’s the thing about hangovers…
They are nature’s way of reminding you that your body is not a nightclub.
One night, you’re living your best life, clinking glasses of Pinot Grigio with reckless abandon. The next morning, you’re lying in bed, groaning into your pillow while Googling “Can you die from regret and dehydration?”
But wait; as the festive season approaches, a clever new plant-based hangover prevention supplement, Tipple, hits the Irish market.
Developed by three Irish entrepreneurs with a passion for wellness and plant-based products, Tipple promises to banish hangovers before they even begin. The trio, Kevin Johnstone (of Green Beards), Claire Ryan (of The Crate), and Stephen Shannon (of Matcha Ninja), use active, natural ingredients to proactively defend against the negative effects of alcohol while replenishing vital nutrients lost during drinking.

With over a decade of experience in the natural health space and the demands of parenthood, the founders knew a product like Tipple could meet the needs of busy lives while allowing people to enjoy their favourite drinks without the dreaded fear and regret of a hangover.
Tipple comes in easy-to-carry sachets with two capsules. Just take them with water when you’re out.
‘Tipple was created with our own lifestyles in mind’
“Life gets busier the older you get, and between work, family, babies, and dogs, a hangover is something none of us can afford,” says Co-Founder Claire Ryan.
“But there’s nothing better than a gorgeous few glasses of wine on a Friday night. Tipple was created with our own lifestyles in mind. It allows us to enjoy life’s big and small celebrations without the downside of a hangover—a big win-win!”
Unlike most hangover remedies that focus on rehydration after the fact, Tipple is taken during alcohol consumption, providing protection before the effects of alcohol take hold. The company says the formula neutralises toxins, supports hydration, and replenishes vitamins, minerals, and amino acids lost during drinking, helping to break down alcohol while you drink, and preventing the build-up of acetaldehyde, the main culprit behind hangovers.
While the party season is only just getting into full swing, we’ve given Tipple a bash and reader, it works. Obviously, if you knock back pints, wine and espresso martinis with wild abandon you’re never going to feel fabulous, but if you’d like a clear head in the morning but still want to meet a mate for a glass of vino or two, this could be your secret weapon.
Tipple is available for purchase here, starting at €30 for a box.
